Rawat urges Centre to upgrade Jolly Grant airport
Dehradun: In order to boost domestic and international tourism in Uttarakhand, chief minister Harish Rawat has urged the Modi government at the Centre to upgrade Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport into full-fledged international airport. Rawat, in separate letters to civil aviation minister P Ashok Gajapati Raju and minister of state for civil aviation Mahesh Sharma on Saturday, urged them to convert the present navigation system into hi-tech CAT-3 and CAT-1 system by installing these sophisticated gadgets at the airport.
